[blank] Lit. [blank] No. [blank]) with manuscript shelf-mark (volume 1: "LIV ... A. ... 53"; volume 2: "LIV ... A. ... 54"), possibly of Carl Friedrich Jasper (b. approximately 1815), on front pastedown and autograph ("Dr. phil. H. Seyfarth."), possibly of Heinrich Seyfarth (1863-1947), on title leaf. A few manuscript annotations in pencil and ink at beginning of volume 1. Milton Collection copy 2 has light brown leather boards with spines decorated and stamped in gilt. Penciled annotation "Barcus, Moscow Dec. 6 '30" printed on front pastedown.
