- Frank Barrie performs as the legendary English actor William Macready, in a televised version of Barrie's internationally succesful one-man show. The play relates some of the highlights of Macready's life: from being the first actor/director to insist on rehearsals; and championing the need to remain faithful to the original Shakespearean texts. The prduction also recounts Macready's ill-fated trip to the USA, which was the direct cause of the 1849 Astor Place Riot in New York.
