Summary:
The objective of this paper is to study the development of emulsifier blends for EC formulations using Design-Expert software, using emulsion droplet size as the measured response. Particle size was measured using the NICOMP Model 370 Submicron Particle Sizer from NICOMP Particle Sizing Systems. The emulsifier systems optimized were 3 component blends of calcium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, an EO/PO block copolymer, and a nonionic surfactant. The test systems were permethrin and chlorpyrifos insecticides
