Summary:
A book of ethnographic photography or photo-ethnography, which documents the experiences in festivals of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru, in order to give a comprehensive look of a vast and varied territory, which, in turn, maintains dynamics and practices subject to a common agrofestive and cosmogonic calendar. At festivals nothing is ever missing, that would be a bad omen. In them, an explosion of emotions is generated nourished by the closeness and commitment of intra-community ties stimulated by the abundance of music, dance, alcohol, coca leaf and food, which generate interactions that produce deep dynamics of identity resignification and ethnic revitalization. The scope of photography in this perspective is presented as particularly attractive and potential.
