- The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) encompasses nine cities in Guangdong province, along with the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao. Going beyond the traditional "Greater Pearl River Delta" concept, it emphasizes looking outward, aiming to help China "go global" and demonstrate global economic leadership. As the region repositions itself as the Greater Bay Area, how can Hong Kong leverage its strengths to seize this opportunity? This volume brings together experts and scholars well-versed in both the Mainland and Hong Kong systems to analyze the development direction and collaborative strategies of the Greater Bay Area, offering specific, practical proposals. The authors call on Hong Kong, Macao, and the nine Guangdong cities to abandon single-jurisdiction thinking and instead embrace the transformation to a city-cluster development model.
