Archival caption: The Iranian Embassy Siege in London where six gunmen of the Iranian extremist group "Democratic Revolutionary Movement for the Liberation of Arabistan" stormed the building, taking 26 hostages before the SAS retook the embassy and freed the hostages. A policeman examines the bullet holes inside the Embassy building, two days after the SAS threw thunder flashes in through the window to end the siege. 7th May 1980.
