- Archival caption: The anguish of a father 20th March 1987 William Silcott quietly sheds a tear for his son Winston during a press conference on the Broadwater Farm housing estate, Tottenham. Winston had been wrongly accused and convicted of the murder of PC Blakelock during riots on the estate on the night 6th October 1985. The conviction was finally quashed in November 1991 after scientific tests suggested that his confession had been fabricated.
