Summary:
Archival caption: A National Front march in London. Around 2500 National Front supporters made the five mile march deep into London's East End. It was feared there would be clashes with the Anti Nazi League supporters who had earlier marched from Hyde Park to Brixton. But 8000 police kept the two groups apart and prevented serious trouble. 35 people were arrested during the day, mostly for threatening behaviour. 24th September 1978.
