On Wednesday (17.9.80) they picked up the top awards in a contest to find the Female Executive of the Year. Advertising manager Judith Donovan (centre) took the title and celebrated with cigars all round for joint runners-up Sue West, left, and Daphne Jones. After the ceremony in London 29-year-old Judith, who work for a mail order firm in Bradford, Yorkshire, spelled out her simple formula for success. The answer is to do the job better than a man, she said.
