Summary:
Published from 1979-1983 as a separately numbered tabloid pull-out section of larger publication Speaking of Ourselves, Anishinabe Dee-Bah-Gee-Mo-Win was the main tabloid for the residents of the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota. It featured regular columns by the Reservation Chairman (known as 'Chairman's Corner'), with particular emphasis given to wider community affairs affecting the reservation; new ordinances, federal programs, education, health and social services. Recurring sections included Senior News, and a section relating to schools and education. Originally printed in black and white it later switched to full colour in 1994. Editors of Anishinabe Dee-Bah-Gee-Mo-Win included Ann LaVoy and Norma Felty.
