Archival caption: Picture shows Mik Kaminski, violinist with The Electric Light Orchestra from 1973 (also known as ELO) performing at The Birmingham National Exhibition Centre (NEC) during their "Time" album tour in December 1981. ELO and Jeff Lynne background. Jeff Lynne formed the Electric Light Orchestra (known as ELO) in 1970, taking over sole leadership in 1972, after Roy Wood left. He enjoyed hit songs such as Mr Blue Sky, Wild West Hero, Turn to Stone and Don't Bring Me Down. In the 1980s, Jeff Lynne found further success as a producer and helped form the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. They enjoyed hits such as Handle With Care and End of the Line. He was also a member of The Move in the 1960s. Picture taken 14th December 1981.
