Summary:
This work is the result of a four-year collective effort centered on a sociological investigation aimed at exploring the practices used by authorities to construct the so-called Historical Truth. It also examines the narratives and positions of institutions, human rights organizations, and national and international media, all within their sociopolitical contexts. The overall goal is to understand why the Ayotzinapa case became not only a media event but also an emblematic one. This sociological analysis of the contexts surrounding the Historical Truth makes it possible to identify key actors, as well as qualitative methods, techniques, and tools that support the interpretation of empirical data.
