As pPart of the Linguistics Collection and the Logos Series, this workbook aims to helps speakers of Amuzgo from San Pedro Amuzgos, Oaxaca, learn to read and write in their own language, which differs from the Amuzgo spoken in the Guerrero region. The book introduces new elements of writing, emphasizing that this language not only consists of sounds but also conveys a wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and emotion through its phrases and sentences-forms of expression that no other language communicates in the same way. The content is divided into fifteen lessons focused on recognizing and writing various digraphs unique to Ñomndaa (Amuzgo), as well as distinguishing its sounds from those of Spanish. The book also includes lexical and grammatical data to assist non-native researchers of the language.
