Summary:
This title seeks to contribute to the construction of recent social memory about women by gathering life stories from women in Ciudad Juárez. Through the authors weaving of each narrative shared by her interviewees, the book unfolds a story that gains depth and nuance. The voices of these twenty women reveal how they overcame the barriers imposed by a gendered order as they stepped into various processes, organizations, or institutions, where class, age, and place of origin intersected in their experiences. The work is divided into three parts: the first addresses the construction of recent social memory; the second presents the testimonies; and the third offers reflections on the experiences and shared challenges these women faced.
