This catalog is published on the occasion of the co-programmed exhibitions Voices by Philippe Parreno, held at Leeum Museum of Art, Seoul (28.2.24 - 7.7.24) and at Haus der Kunst München (13.12.24 - 25.4.25). These two coordinated, yet distinct exhibitions-representing an overarching concept of cooperation across continents, cultures, and languages-share also co-commissioned artworks, and, as an introduction to the whole project, the book Voices, published in February 2024, collecting all spoken works by Philippe Parreno from 1990 onwards. This catalog is conceived as a journey around a unique creative process and features two commissioned texts, one by the composer, author, and theoretician François J. Bonnet and one by the science-fiction author Kim Choyeop, a text by Philippe Parreno, and one by Mathias Augustyniak as well as a conversation between Sungwon Kim, the Deputy Director and Chief Curator of Leeum Museum of Art, Seoul and Andrea Lissoni, the Artistic Director of Haus der Kunst München, revealing the process and intention behind both exhibitions.
