- Summary:
- This title brings together diverse voices, backgrounds, and perspectives that converge around a shared concern: analyzing citizen participation and accountability processes in Indigenous regions. This research focuses on citizen involvement in social oversight and examines three key dimensions that highlight both areas of convergence and divergence, tensions, and opportunities for coordination between two distinct visions of citizenship, governance, and public affairs. These dimensions include: 1) the financial decentralization process, 2) the countrys democratization process, and 3) policies recognizing the rights of Indigenous and Afro-Mexican communities.
