Summary:
This study provides theoretical and empirical insights that contribute to the design and implementation of macroeconomic policy aimed at advancing the reconstruction and transformation of Mexico s economic and social structure. Most of the research works included in this volume focus on analyzing the structural problems of the Mexican economy; however, some of the hypotheses and theses may also apply to other Latin American economies, given the similarity of their economic and institutional frameworks. This work offers a perspective on global economic growth in a context where emerging and developing market economies-such as Mexico s-face significant challenges in macroeconomic policy as they seek to promote growth and reduce poverty.
