Summary:
One of today's most exhilarating talents, Lise Davidsen burst onto the Met scene in 2019 with her debut as Lisa in Tchaikovsky's The Queen of Spades. In the years since, she has given career-defining performances in soaring roles by Wagner and Strauss, including during the 2022-23 season, when she took the stage as the Marschallin in Strauss's elegant comedy Der Rosenkavalier. In this performance, presented as part of the Met's Live in HD series of cinema transmissions, the Norwegian soprano joins mezzo-soprano Samantha Hankey as Octavian, the Marschallin' s impetuous lover, and soprano Erin Morley as Sophie, the young heiress who comes between them. Bass Günther Groissböck is the lecherous Baron Ochs, with Maestro Simone Young on the podium to lead a stately--and uproarious--staging by director Robert Carsen.

Introduction
Wie du warst!
Marie Theres!
Octavian!
Nicht dort, dort ist das Vorzimmer
Selbstverständlich empfängt mich Ihro Gnaden
Macht das einen lahmen Esel aus mir?
I komm glei!
Drei arme adelige Waisen
Di rigori armato il seno
Als Morgengabe
Mein lieber Hypolŷte
Da geht er hin, der aufgeblasne schlechte Kerl
Ah! Du bist wieder da?
Mein schöner Schatz, will Sie sich traurig machen mit Gewalt
Ich hab' ihn nicht einmal geküßt
Introduction to Act II by Deborah Voigt
Ein enrster Tag, ein großer Tag
In dieser feierlichen Stunde
Mir ist die Ehre widerfahren
Ich kenn' Ihn schon recht wohl, mon Cousin!
Jetzt aber kommt mein Herr Zukünftiger
La la
Wie ich Dein Alles werde sein!
Wird Sie das Mannsbild da heiraten. Ma cousine?
; .was Sie ist.
Herr Baron von Lerchenau
Nicht mehr. Mich um Pardon!
Da lieg' ich
Ohne mich, ohne mich jeder Tag dir so bang
Introduction to Act III by Deborah Voigt
Introduction and Pantomime
Hab'n Euer Gnaden noch weitre Befehle?
Nein, nein, nein nein! I trink kein Wein
Es is ja eh alles eins
Halt!
O weh, was maken wir?
Bin glücklich über Maßen
Bin von so viel Finesse charmiert
Ist halt vorbei
Mein Gott! Es war nicht mehr
Marie Theres, wie gut Sie ist?
Ist ein Traum, kann nicht wirklich sein
