- The following paper is based on the results of tests, upon duralumin columns, contained in two theses presented to the Department of Civil and Sanitary Engineering of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Compression tests were made on four sets of heat-treated duralumin columns of different cross-section and varying thickness for different values of L/r.
