In conducting tests on aerofoil models at the Langley Memorial Aeronautical Laboratory, the staff developed a device to permit rapid, convenient and accurate alignment of aerofoils and the wing chord models with the air flow. The device consists of three main parts: a projector, a reflector and a target.
