In January 2002, the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) Training Working Team, an interagency task group began a Wildland Fire Leadership Development Program with a mission to promote cultural change in the work force and to emphasize the importance of leadership concepts in the wildland fire service by providing educational and leadership development opportunities. The website includes extensive training courses, a toolbox of resources, and general information on the program.
