Other Title:
Acoustical monitoring 2011
Place of Publication:
Fort Collins, Colorado : U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Natural Resource Stewardship and Science, November 2014.
Summary:
"Abstract: During the winter of 2011(September - November) baseline acoustical data were collected at Wright Brothers National Memorial (WRBR) at two sites deployed for approximately 30 days each. The baseline data collected during these periods will help park managers and planners estimate the effects of future noise impacts and will help to inform future park planning objectives such as creating acoustic resource management plans, as well as the development of an Air Tour Management Plan (ATMP), which provides for the regulation of commercial air tours. The sound sources of concern at WRBR include developments near park boundaries, air tours, commercial and private aircraft activities, and requests for special use permits for noisy activities. This document summarizes the results of the noise measurement study."--Technical report documentation page.
