- Summary:
- This report presents estimates of functional difficulties among school-aged children and adolescents in the United States. Using data from the National Health Interview Survey for 2001-2007, for children aged 4 to 17 years old, it provides information on difficulties related to sensory, motor, cognitive, and emotional or behavioral functioning, as well as educational and health care service use. Statistics are also included on association with family poverty, health insurance, ethnic background, and family structure.
