- The Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Acts require that DHS post on its public website any report required in the Act by the Committees on Appropriations of the Senate and the House of Representatives for each fiscal year, upon the determination by the head of DHS that it shall serve the national interest. This requirement excludes reports that contain proprietary information, and reports that, if posted, could compromise homeland or national security.
