Summary:
A transmitter that responds to an input signal (transponder) has been designed at the Ka Band frequency range. The transponder is further enhanced to simulate a moving target by returning a signal with an artificial Doppler frequency and power level commensurate with that of a particular Radar Cross Section (RCS). The RF architecture is described first, followed by a detailed derivation of simulated RCS and then a complete step by step operational instruction is provided.
