Summary:
Spiro T. Agnew, Vice-President of the United States, along with Baltimore, Maryland political figures, was investigated in the 1970's. Initially a tax evasion investigation initiated by the Internal Revenue Service, the FBI entered the investigation when additional criminal offenses were uncovered. The FBI's investigation concerned bribery, extortion, conspiracy, corruption, and Interstate Transportation in Aid of Racketeering. Mr. Agnew resigned as Vice-President of the United States as a result of the investigation.
