It focuses on the professional literature but newspaper articles have also been included. Its primary focus is youth violence in the United States with the exclusion of violence as it relates to war trauma. The citations are mainly in English or Spanish. Internet addresses have been provided for those citations that link back to PubMed, ERIC, and other systems that allow free access to abstracts or full text of the citations.
