Summary:
It is estimated that 75% of the world's coral reefs will be destroyed or significantly damaged in the next 20 years. Hawaii's coral reefs still appear to be relatively healthy, but some areas of dead and dying coral have been found in recent years, probably at least partly because of human activities. This pamphlet describes the process of mapping and measuring damage to Hawaii's reefs.
