Three of the Fisheries Vision focus areas have two or three sub-focus areas so this Strategic Plan addresses a total of eleven priority areas. Each priority area is introduced with a background statement followed by national goals and objectives and the regional goals, objectives, and tasks which will direct the efforts of the Fisheries Program beginning in 2004 through 2008.
