- Roger W. Moss (1940-2025) was the Executive Director of the Athenaeum of Philadelphia from 1968 to 2008. He also served as an adjunct professor in the Historic Preservation Program at the University of Pennsylvania beginning in 1981. He wrote more than a dozen books on architecture and design, including Historic Houses of Philadelphia (1998), Historic Sacred Places of Philadelphia (2005), and Historic Landmarks of Philadelphia (2008) published by the University of Pennsylvania Press.
