- "A commonplace book by an Amelia Bigelow of Tyringham Massachusetts. The entries all appear to be dated from 1810-11. No concrete historical information could be found on the author. The manuscript is made up mostly of diary like entries, philosophical musings, a few poems apparently by herself and a friend, as well as drafts of personal letters to her cousin and brother, among other recipients, generally concerning travels and daily life."--auction house's description. Pages generally brittle. Page 1 is torn. Blue paper wraps are almost detached. In blue clamshell box.
