Summary:
What happens behind the scenes of a movie production? How does a director handle his actors and his team? What is the social and political background of each film production? Is it something that had an effect on the success of a film? This program is about Swedish filmmaker Ruben Östlund's surreal multi-awarded The Square, a satire on the contemporary art world that sits edgily alongside a skewering of male privilege and middle-class altruism. The film The Square was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film of the Year and Best Motion Picture Foreign Language-Golden Globes, and received a Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival, in addition to numerous other awards and nominations
