- Randolph Scott plays James Barlow, an agent from Chicago hired to bring the notorious Reno brothers to justice. As luck would have it, the Reno gang includes a beautiful young woman (Mala Powers), who catches Barlow's eye. This Western from director Tim Whelan (The Thief of Bagdad) features cinematography by two-time Oscar winner Ray Rennahan (Gone With The Wind), while the screenplay was by noted author Horace McCoy (They Shoot Horses, Don't They?). There's also an all-star cast, including Forrest Tucker, J. Carrol Naish, Edgar Buchanan, Denver Pyle, and several other shaggy sidewinders
