Summary:
"The Movimento Armorial was launched by playwright, novelist, essayist, poet, professor and lecturer Ariano Suassuna, on October 18, 1970, with the objective of producing Brazilian Art linked to the roots of our popular culture, however, erudite, and therefore, universal. More than establishing rigid directives, the movement sought the convergence between different genres of art, such as Dance, Literature, Painting, Music and Theater. ... Armorial 50 is an event that was conceptualized by Regina Godoy to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Movimento Armorial and, coherent with Suassuna's proposition, presents an extensive exhibition, complemented by musical encounters organized by Antonio Madureira and talks regarding art and literature coordinated by Carlos Newton Júnior." -- Page 12.
