Tippo S. Hannon published the Augusta chronicle and Georgia advertiser from 1822-1823.
Cumming opposed George McDuffie, of S.C., in the nullification controversy. Their quarrel led to several duels, in one of which McDuffie was seriously wounded. This pamphlet charges McDuffie with cowardice for avoiding a duel in 1822.
