Includes the text of a proclamation issued by authority of John Jay, governor of the state of New York, and dated April 21, 1796, enclosing the text of a proclamation by Thomas Mifflin, governor of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, dated April 16, 1796. Also included are the report of a committee of the officers of the county of Luzerne to the Governor of Pennsylvania ( June 13, 1796) and the proceedings of a meeting of a number of the public officers of the county of Northampton addressed to His Excellency Thomas Mifflin, governor of the state of Pennsylvania.
