- Edited by Bela B. Edwards and others, this was one of the most important periodicals devoted to education. Although interested primarily in the education of candidates for the ministry and mission fields, it also touched on more general topics in the education field. Contents included statistical material, such as listings of churches and ministers, activities of the American (later Congregational) Education Society, much biography, histories of universities, and essays and discussions pertaining to the ministry and to education.
