Text consists of two sections: "Extracts of Mr. Von Reck's Journal from Dover to Ebenezer." (p. [1]-26), and: "Extract of the Reverend Mr. Bolzius's Journal, from their arrival in Carolina." (p. [26]-71). Since the original German text of this second journal was composed jointly by Boltzius and Gronau, the present extract in English should also be credited to these two persons. Page 72 has the heading: "Advertisement" and is a solicitation for funds to aid the persecuted Salzburgers.
