Part of the account of the earthquake at Jamaica (p. 15-21) is in the form of a letter, "wrote by the rector of that place ... We have set it down literally ... from his own manuscript, as he communicated it to his friend". This letter is a portion of the first two letters dated June 22 and 28, 1692 [old sytle] and printed at London for J. Tonson, 1692, under title: A full account of the late dreadful earthquake at Port-Royal in Jamaica; in two letters by the minister of that place, from a-board the Granada in Port-Royal harbour.
