Summary:
Epistolary romance by Diego de San Pedro, written some time after 1465, and first printed in 1492, recounting the story of courtly love of Leriano and Laureola, which ends with Leriano's suicide. A known source of the play La celestina by Fernando de Rojas.

Woodcuts: large title vignette, representing a nobleman climbing a steep staircase to a prison tower constructed on four columns, with three putti and a phoenix perched above on the roof; text illustrated throughout with 19 additional smaller woodcuts, most of which are double scenes.
Printed in italic type; spaces left for capitals, with guide letters.
