Summary:
At the edge of the Amazon wilderness, a group of adventurers descend the Rio Tiputini in packrafts to meet a Waorani Amerindian community. The Waorani, the last people to be contacted in the country, are now connected to the modern world. They are undergoing an irreversible social divide, right to the heart of their families, where the younger generations are leaving for the cities while the elders wish to maintain their ancestral way of life, centered on the forest. Deculturation is fast and brutal, and reflects the challenge facing the majority of Amazonian Amerindian peoples: how can they maintain their culture and traditions in the face of modernity and the oil exploitation that is eating away at their territory?

Narration, Philippe Mistral.
