- Summary:
- What is Rodolphe Burger up to? Leader of the classy group Kat Onoma, close collaborator of Alain Bashung and founder of the C'est Dans La Vallée festival, the dynamic French musician returns to the stage of the Espace Paul Eluard in Stains, France, with the Mademoiselle trio. Alongside Sofiane Saidi, the rising star of electro-raï and Mehdi Haddab, the renowned oud player and spearhead of Speed Caravan, the singer offers an explosive set. Impeccable in its accuracy, "Le Désert" mixes layers of synthesizers and strikingly poetic lyrics. Written by the American rocker George Thorogood, "I Drink Alone" delivers a boogie-2.0 track with incredible effect. Elsewhere, the bewitching "Embrasse Marie Pour Moi" enhances the vocals and softens Sofiane Saidi's tone. The spontaneous performance integrates different styles in the compositions like magnets coming together. This becomes clear with the almost funky "1, 2, 3," which ingeniously mixes in football slogans. Or again with "Mademoiselle," named after the project, whose stratospheric flights of fancy herald a promising future. Vincent Caffiaux.
