The cover, made of recycled materials, features illustrations and a title on the spine. A pencil on a string attached to the binding fits into a sleeve on the front cover. Recycled paper leaves feature silkscreen-printed illustrations and text, along with extensive information about images, background, and creation of the piece.
"Woodlanders' Directory: made by recycling the Woodlanders' Almanac from the last millennium. We have no idea how many forests were saved from the axe on account of our recuperated paper from the inside pages of this thing. The cover came out ofbrewed burocratiic forms from the Deforestation Office, kneaded with old cardboard boxes (the ones they chip chaninsaws in), latex sap, smoked chicle gum, copal incense, turpentine, with maple syrup"--Colophon
