"The Nachum Manbar affair is considered one of the most turbulent, complicated, and controversial in the security ethos of the State of Israel. In the spring of 1997, a few weeks after he was on his way to a game for the basketball team he financed and disappeared as if the earth had swallowed him, it was published - under severe censorship restrictions - that Nahum Manbar, the famous businessman, had sold weapons to the Iranians, and was immediately arrested when he landed at Ben Gurion Airport. A little over a year later, Manbar was convicted of three offenses: aiding the enemy in his war on Israel; attempting to aide the enemy in his war on Israel, and providing information to the enemy with the intent to harm the security of the state, in other words - espionage and treason. After Rosen arrived at the moshav, where Manbar was secretly staying temporarily with a friend, he made a firm statement: "I want to tell my truth. I did not betray, I did not spy!" At Manbar's request, Rosen began investigating the affair. The result - a twisted and chilling suspense story, built from chronicles, quotes from former members of the editorial staff, and especially from some particularly disturbing findings. In doing so, Rosen completed the mission of his colleague, the late journalist Reuven Pedatzur, to delve as far as possible into the investigation of the truth, without taking a critical or judgmental stance - and he went deeper than he thought he would.
