Summary:
A publication that presents a project conceived by Rodrigo Valenzuela Jerez, which involved inviting a group of artists, photographers, and documentary filmmakers to capture a single house, following a single restriction: not fetishizing architecture as an idealized reality. Between 2017 and 2023, the group documented the house in its various stages: construction, move-in, and subsequent use, including its use during quarantines due to the pandemic. Through the eyes of Bárbara Oettinger, Bruno Salas, Diego Grass, Emilio Marín, Francisco Jullian, Luis Correa, Macarena Álvarez, Sebastián Mejía, and Naranja Publicaciones, the house became a field of experimentation and study. In 2021, in Santiago, Chile, Galería Barco hosted an exhibition and discussion about the project. The text presented in this publication is a remix of that conversation, edited by Bárbara Rozas.
