- Summary:
- Seba Calfuqueo (Chile 1991) is a Mapuche artist and activist and part of the Mapuche collective Rangiñtulewfü and Yene Revista whose work in installation, ceramic, performance, and video investigates race, gender, and social class. Her art practice proposes a decolonial view and a critical reflection of the social, cultural, and political status of the Mapuche subject in contemporary Chilean society and Latin America. This publication brings together works from 2021 to 2023 by Calfuqueo. It consists of three photographic series of performances captured by Diego Argote in southern Chile: Esporas (Spores), Evocación al pelo (Hair), and Natura (Nature). It also includes dialogues present in the works MAPU KUFÜLL and NGÜRÜ KA WILLIÑ (The Way of Nature). All the works are reviewed in the text written by Mariairis Flores Leiva
