- Los frutos modernos y su crisis, 1950-1980 (Modern outcomes and their crisis, 1950-1980) constitutes the third volume in the series Arquitectura en el Chile del siglo XX, of the architect, academic and researcher Fernando Pérez Oyarzun (National Architecture Award 2022). The period considered corresponds to the decades after the Second World War. These are experienced from Chile as a reflection of what were the years of European reconstruction and the emergence of a new world order marked by the international dominance of the United States and the Cold War. The series "Arquitectura en el Chile del siglo XX", is the synthesis of a long research work by architect and academic Fernando Pérez Oyarzun, in which a select group of experts in the field collaborate. The four volumes that make up the series propose a narrative about architecture and cities in Chile during the last century.
