- Summary:
- Todo está perdido is the result of 10-year research carried out by Alejandro Marcín in conjunction with the Fundación Juan José Gurrola, civil association chaired by his widow, Rosa María Vivanco. The retrospective of the creative career of multidisciplinary artist Juan José Gurrola (1935-2007) aims to give him a conceptual context so to understand the actions that the artist did and that at the time were not well valued. Although Gurrola is best known for his theatrical production, the exhibition focuses on all the artistic facets in which he manifested himself: in his painting, which has not been seen in public for a long time and in other areas that transcended less. There are many works made with Polaroid photography in the 80s, as well as records of actions, happenings, performances and his "situationist cabals", or spontaneous gestures that allowed him to disrupt reality.
