- The book presents two types of work: on the one hand, a series of tributes to distinguished and recently deceased legal historians; on the other hand, a set of papers presented by members of the Spanish Society for the History of Law, dealing with different issues of relevance for legal historiography with a single theme but at the same time of enormous diversity and interest, since under the umbrella of the idea of the centre-periphery duality, the most varied aspects of the Spanish historical-legal past are examined in depth from the perspective of rights in territories and societies, not forgetting specifically university research in this respect. This is the result of the research that was presented during the congress of the III Conference of the Spanish Society for the History of Law held at the University of La Laguna in June 2023, in which the authors offered solid, as well as very new, contributions of enormous interest for the knowledge of the historical-legal past and the transcendence of this past for a correct understanding of the importance of the legal in today's society.
- El libro presenta dos tipos de trabajos: de una parte, una serie de homenajes a historiadores del derecho insignes y recientemente fallecidos; de otra parte, un conjunto de trabajos que, a modo de ponencias presentadas por los socios de la Sociedad EspanÌola de Historia del Derecho, abordan distintas cuestiones de relevancia para la historiografiÌa juriÌdica con una temaÌtica uÌnica pero al mismo tiempo de enorme diversidad e intereÌs pues bajo el paraguas de la idea de la dualidad centro-periferia se profundiza en los maÌs variados aspectos del pasado histoÌrico-juriÌdico espanÌol desde la perspectiva de los derechos en territorios y sociedades, no olvidando la investigacioÌn especiÌficamente universitaria al respecto. Se trata del resultado de las investigaciones que fueron expuestas durante el congreso de la III Conferencia de la Sociedad EspanÌola de Historia del Derecho celebrada en la Universidad de La Laguna en junio de 2023, en la que los autores ofrecieron soÌlidas, a la par que noviÌsimas, aportaciones de enorme intereÌs para el conocimiento del pasado histoÌrico-juriÌdico y de la trascendencia de ese pasado para una correcta compresioÌn de la importancia de lo juriÌdico en la sociedad actual.
