- "The Untold Story of Canada's Black Panthers - Burnley "Rocky" Jones and Joan Jones were prominent Black activists during the Civil Rights Movement in Canada, and their impact is still being felt in the African Nova Scotian Community. This film delves into a lesser-known chapter of Canadian history, set in Nova Scotia, where a married couple, Joan and Rocky Jones, became the driving forces behind the Civil Rights Movement and the Black United Front. They were the Black Panthers of Nova Scotia, standing against racism. At the height of their activism, Rocky and Joan were considered two of the most influential Black leaders in Canada. Spanning from the 1960s to 2020, the film explores the highs and lows of racial profiling and segregation within the African Nova Scotian community, offering a poignant and powerful look at the ongoing struggle for equality. Featuring interviews with Joan Jones herself as well as her daughter, Tracey Jones-Grant.
